Excellent point. Small sample size of 40-50, from what I recall, but a great simple test. Basically you repeatedly rotate your neck side-to-side quickly to r/o meningitis. Thanks for the link!
G'day Michelle and fellow readers,I find shaking my head does little to help me make a diagnosis, although it can help shake water and sand out of my ears. Perhaps the jolt-accentuation test would work better if the patient moved his or her head from side-to-side?Chris the PedantPS. Happy New Year!
